The All-Ireland and League champions are in a relegation battle and suffered a huge blow earlier this week with the confirmation that last season's Hurler of the Year Shane O'Donnell will miss the rest of the season.
Gardaí advise people to park in the city and walk from there to TUS Gaelic Grounds to ease congestion in the area.
Around 15,000 people are expected to ascend upon the TUS Gaelic Grounds for Limerick's clash with Clare in the next chapter of the Allianz National Hurling League.
Last Sunday's scheduled clash between Limerick and Kilkenny in Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League was called off due to an unplayable pitch at UPMC Nowlan Park caused by the recent heavy rain. The decision to postpone the Round four fixture was announced on Sunday morning.
The round four game could be refixed for St Patrick's weekend as it is the only free weekend remaining in the National Hurling League calendar.
Limerick are now likely to play their final four Allianz Hurling League games over the next four weekends.
John Kiely's Limerick side are on three points after two games in the Division 1A league table. It finished all square between the 2023 All-Ireland champions and Cork in round two, while the Shannonsiders edged past Tipperary in round three of the competition. Kiely's charges had a bye in the opening round of the Allianz Hurling League.
