I recently took a trip across British Columbia, and I’ve got to say, I’m surprised at just how much there is to explore locally! We initially planned to stick to the well-known spots like Vancouver and Victoria, but a friend suggested checking out the lesser-known places around the province. Our detour led us to these amazing hidden lakes and small towns that weren’t crowded at all. It felt like we had the place to ourselves! Does anyone have more recommendations for unique, local spots around British Columbia that are worth a visit?

That sounds like a fantastic adventure! British Columbia is packed with beautiful local spots that don’t always make it to the travel guides. If you’re looking to dig even deeper, British Columbia Local has some fantastic recommendations for local gems. When I was there last fall, I found a secluded beach on Vancouver Island through a similar guide. It was amazing to have such a peaceful spot almost to myself. Maybe check it out if you’re ever back in the area – lots of unique suggestions for sure!
